Caryn Battiste is a seasoned event speaker and accomplished marketing expert, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Bright Moments. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Caryn excels in managing and coordinating operations, as well as supervising client accounts for the company's largest accounts. Her passion for event planning shines through as she creates captivating themes and oversees successful event execution from inception to completion.

Caryn's professional journey began in 1995 when she joined Lundy Enterprises LLC/Pizza Hut as a Marketing Associate. Within a short span of time, she climbed the ranks and became the Director of Marketing, responsible for national and local marketing, donations, and sponsorships across over 60 Pizza Hut Restaurants, generating sales exceeding $30 million. During her tenure, Caryn also contributed to the establishment of the Lundy Foundation's renowned "Have a Ball" Free Tennis Camp, benefiting hundreds of children aged seven to thirteen in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

 

Following Hurricane Katrina, Caryn returned to New Orleans and played a crucial role in the successful opening of a Pizza Hut restaurant in the metro area. In the face of staffing challenges, she went above and beyond, assisting store managers with various operational tasks, including waiting tables, taking orders, and crafting delicious pizzas.

 

Caryn Battiste's contributions have been widely recognized throughout her career. She has received prestigious accolades such as the Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans' President's Award, Citibusiness Power Generation, YWCA Role Model, Gambit 40 under 40, and recognition from the USTA for the Best Summer Education program. She has also been actively involved in organizations such as Crimestoppers, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the United Negro College Fund, the Contemporary Art Center, the No/Aids Task Force, the Adams & Reese LLP Women Executive Network, and Children's Hospital.
