Delisha Boyd was raised in Uptown New Orleans by her grandparents after the death of her mother and father. Delisha has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She has a Masters in Business Administration and is (abd) on doctorate in Business Administration. In love with the soul and culture of New Orleans, Delisha opened the doors of Delisha Boyd, LLC in 2014. This real estate brokerage was formed to create a competitive team of agents that embody a natural order of hard work and commitment to our community. Delisha’s team brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and real estate wisdom to each client. They are committed to providing outstanding real estate services. Delisha stands with our community on enforcing Fair Housing Guidelines. She is committed to expanding home ownership to every member of the community and is licensed in Louisiana, Georgia and Mississippi. Delisha has sold over 270 million dollars in real estate over her career. She received the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year Award in 2004. Delisha was recently awarded the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors 2020 Manager of the Year. Delisha has hosted or co-hosted annual Back to School Giveaways, Easter Basket Giveaways and Turkey Giveaways. She personally adopts families in our community for Thanksgiving and Christmas and provides everything needed to make their holiday seasons complete. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delisha responded to the call to assist those in need. She supplied hot meals to our front-line workers. Along with our newly elected Congressman Troy Carter and other members of the Algiers delegation, they provided nearly 750 meals, donated thousands of masks, and held COVID-19 testing events for the community. In recent months, Delisha has also been a leader in providing opportunities for residents to receive the vaccine. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, Delisha set aside her needs focused on getting people in her community things they needed to begin putting their lives back together. As State Representative, Delisha continues fighting for better and enforceable Fair Housing Guidelines, more avenues for affordable home ownership, and living wages which will open more opportunities for members of our community to achieve the dream of home ownership. She stands strong against voter suppression. Delisha Boyd was elected to her seat in November of 2021 in a special election. Sworn into office in February of 2022, Delisha authored 6 Bills signed of by the Governor and co-authored another 18 Bills that were signed by the Governor. Delisha was awarded the Democratic Rising Star by the Louisiana Democratic Party. Delisha is a proud mother to Kristen Boyd and has one granddaughter, Reagan Boyd.
